Infosys develops AI Agent to enhance operations in the energy sector

Infosys has introduced an artificial intelligence (AI) agent designed to improve efficiency and decision-making in the energy sector. The system combines Infosys’ AI and cloud platforms with Microsoft’s AI capabilities to automate reporting, deliver predictive insights, and enhance operational reliability.
https://www.infosys.comThe solution draws on Infosys Topaz, an AI-first offering that uses generative AI technologies, and Infosys Cobalt, a suite of cloud services and platforms. It is also powered by Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI in Foundry Models, and ChatGPT-4o.
Infosys said the AI agent applies conversational AI to interpret real-time data and generate actionable insights. It can process well logs, images, plots, and tables to streamline reporting, while predictive analytics provide early warnings of potential operational challenges. The company said this helps users plan work more effectively, minimise delays and errors, and improve safety and reliability across operations.
