High dynamic performance in demanding space applications

3D PLUS has announced the release of its new radiation-tolerant 20-A POL, expanding its Point-Of-Load range to provide the high currents required for the latest generations of FPGAs and microprocessors.

The company says the 3DPM0602 is a highly integrated synchronous buck power module engineered for high dynamic performance in demanding space applications. Supporting a wide input voltage range from 4.6V to 13.2V, it delivers up to 20A with an adjustable output from 0.8V to 3.3V, ideal for all space applications.

Superior Load Transient Response

The company says designed for the rapid load variations of advanced digital processing, the converter ensures precise output voltage regulation with a load transient slew rate of 1 A/µs. This stability is maintained even in extreme environments, supported by integrated input and output filtering within a compact 30 x 30 x 8 mm³ package.

Proven Design Parameters:

Efficiency: for 5V and 12V bus architectures

Protection: Includes input under-voltage protection (UVP), output short-circuit protection, and internal thermal shutdown.

3D PLUS  says this robust design provides a “plug-and-play” power solution for engineers requiring dependable power delivery and high reliability in radiation-prone orbits.
