Expanded M8 connector range with solder-connection flange variants

binder has expanded its M8 connector portfolio with the introduction of flange connectors featuring a solder connection, adding a further option for customised connection solutions. The new variants are designed to be robust and space-saving, offering flexibility during cable assembly and supporting applications that require customer-specific cable lengths or manual production in small series.
The company already supplies M8 flange connectors in several connection types, including dip-solder, wire and cable versions. The addition of a solder-connection design gives users further scope to configure connectors to individual requirements. This is particularly relevant in automation and robotics, where compact designs and flexible signal transmission are essential.
According to binder, the new flange connectors enable straightforward manual wiring, making them suitable for customised builds, small production batches and repairs. They are intended for use where standard cables are insufficient or where specific cable lengths are needed. Despite their compact size, the connectors provide reliable signal transmission and are fully compatible with existing M8 interfaces.
Typical applications include automation and conveyor technology, sensor and actuator cabling, and measurement and testing systems. The connectors are also positioned as a solution for robotic systems with limited installation space, where precise signal transmission is required.
As with all binder products, the new M8 variants undergo extensive laboratory testing. The flange components with solder buckets meet requirements for quality and mechanical load capacity, supporting reliable performance.
