WAGO: Secure Control for Demanding Applications

Building on the success of the Compact Controller 100 family, WAGO says its new Compact Controller 100 Secure comes with functions and capabilities that make it a cyber-resilient and powerfully versatile asset within their growing automation portfolio.

The company says it is Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) ready and features IEC 62443-4-2 approval as well as IEEE 2030.5, IEEE 1547, and SunSpec Modbus 700 compliance.  It comes equipped with SSH & SSL/TLS encryption, built-in firewall and VPN, Secure Boot, and TPM 2.0 support to offer the security needed for demanding applications.

The Compact Controller 100 Secure features dual isolated RS-485 ports for integration with energy meters and field devices using Modbus RTU.  It also offers 8 digital inputs and 8 configurable digital channels that can function as either inputs or outputs and allow for dynamic I/O allocation based on application needs.  Programming is done using free CODESYS 3.5 software, supporting IEC 61131-3 languages and HTML5 visualizations through its built-in web server.

Offering precision control, security, and flexible deployment, the Compact Controller 100 Secure is said to be ideal for OEMs, industrial applications, distributed energy, and microgrid systems.
